As you would expect from Andover, the Century Solids are made from 100% premium fine cotton yarns.The cotton is US grown, and combed to remove impurities. They also remove the short fibres resulting in a high quality and strong thread that has a more lustrous look and feel. The cotton is woven tightly, keeping seams straighter and giving you more control when sewing curves. It also means you won’t see shadowing of seam allowances on your finished product.

One of the things we love most about Century solids is they don’t fray easily, resulting in fewer loose threads in your seam allowance.

Spark–A great solids spectrum from one of our favourite fabric companies. They started with 100 colours and are continuing to grow their line up so we’re starting with Andover and filling in if we need to from other brands.
